Swing & Connect Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in and interaction with Swing & Connect (“we,” “our,” “us”), including events, sponsorships, donations, and use of our website and materials.

By purchasing a ticket, becoming a sponsor, donating, or attending an event, you agree to comply with these Terms.

Swing & Connect is an event brand powered by Mentors of Color, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving as fiscal sponsor for donation and sponsorship processing.

2. Event Participation

  • Eligibility: Participants must be 21 years or older unless otherwise stated.

  • Code of Conduct: We maintain a professional, inclusive, and respectful environment. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event without refund.

  • Liability Waiver: By attending any Swing & Connect event, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participation, including travel, physical activity, or equipment use.

3. Ticket Purchases

  • Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Payment must be completed at the time of registration to secure entry.

  • Tickets are non-refundable except under the conditions outlined in our Refund Policy.

  • Swing & Connect reserves the right to refuse admission or remove individuals who violate event policies.

4. Sponsorships & Donations

  • Sponsorships and donations are processed through Mentors of Color, the fiscal sponsor for Swing & Connect events.

  • Mentors of Color issues official donation receipts for qualifying sponsorships or contributions.

  • Sponsorship payments are non-refundable once processed.

  • Sponsors agree that Swing & Connect and Mentors of Color may use their name, logo, and likeness for promotional purposes related to the sponsored event.

5. Event Modifications

  • Swing & Connect reserves the right to modify event schedules, speakers, activities, or venues due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather, safety concerns, or venue issues).

  • In such cases, all tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled or adjusted event format.

6. Media & Photography Release

By attending an event, you grant Swing & Connect and Mentors of Color permission to capture and use photos, videos, or audio recordings that may include your image or voice for promotional or archival purposes, without additional compensation.

If you prefer not to be included, please notify our team at check-in or before the event.

7. Intellectual Property

All event materials, branding, and content provided by Swing & Connect remain the intellectual property of the organizers.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit event content, logos, or materials without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Swing & Connect and Mentors of Color are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in any event.

  • Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for your event ticket or sponsorship.

9. Data & Privacy

We respect your privacy. Personal information collected through our events and website is governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Refunds & Transfers

All sales are final unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy.
Tickets may be transferred to another individual up to 48 hours before the event by contacting us.

11. Termination & Denial of Access

Swing & Connect reserves the right to deny access or participation to any individual or company for reasons including non-payment, policy violations, or misconduct.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
